A Safe and Effective Cure for When You Can’t Sleep at Night

When we are confused or feel out of our depth at work the common reaction is to literally throw man hours at the problem and hope for a resolution but often all this will lead to is sleep deprivation and poor decision making.

Can’t sleep at night? Your doctor tells you it is likely you have Insomnia. While this is of some relief to actually have a diagnosis you are unsure what you should do next.   1. Before going to bed, purge yourself of anxiety, take a pad and a pan and write down all your problems and concerns. You may surprise yourself, this exercise can literally feel like opening the flood gates, persist it is well worth the effort.
  2. Next ask yourself this one simple question and try to answer as openly and honestly as you can, it’s essential. What will happen if I can’t solve these issues?
    You may find when you are actually forced to write down these issues, things will start to become much clearer.
  3. Next stop and really think about ways to tackle your problems, again write down your answers and be open and honest with yourself. Don’t just write down random thoughts actually write down the steps you can take to address these issues, in order if you can. You are formulating a plan so give yourself specific steps to put into action.
  4. Try to repeat this process every night and you may be genuinely surprised at the improvements you make.
